Winemaking
Félix SolísToday, the winery of Félix Solís, S.A. in DO La Mancha makes both white and red young wines, although once the investment project is completed it will be in the position to make all the types of wine covered by the Regulating Council, which are as follows: young or new wines, traditional wines, wines aged in oak barrels, crianzas, reservas, gran reservas and sparkling wines

Wines made in La Mancha have been famous throughout history. Miguel de Cervantes, creator of the immortal Don Quixote, spoke of the famous wines of La Mancha, as vine cultivation saw a large boom at the beginning of the 12th and 13th centuries. Perhaps his most famous reference is the following quote: "he praised the wine, which he exalted to the clouds, though he did not leave much of it there, for fear it should get watered".

GENERALLY SPEAKING, OUR WINES PRESENT THE FOLLOWING COMMON CHARACTERISTICS:

Our YOUNG WHITES: These are varietals of Airen and are prepared at a controlled temperature of 17º C. They acquire a pale colour with dominant primary and secondary aromas.  These very fruity wines are easy and enjoyable to drink

Félix SolísOur YOUNG REDS: These are mainly elaborated using the Tempranillo variety, although Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are also used. Vinification takes place in 100,000 litre fermentation tanks at a controlled temperature of about 25º C. They are left to macerate various days in order to obtain more aromas and to enhance their attractive and intense colour. The wines are full-bodied and have the ideal acidity and PH for ageing.
